A pilot was able to walk away from the crash that destroyed his helicopter in western Manitoba on Wednesday 4 July 2012. The pilot of the Bell 206 Jet Ranger, owned by a company from North Bay, Ont., lost control while spraying crops and the helicopter plummeted to the ground in the farmland area.

UPDATE: CADORS Number:2012C2726 - "The pilot of C-GUIK, a Sunrise Helicopters Bell 206 was conducting agricultural spray operations near Angusville, MB when the aircraft collided with terrain. The pilot received minor injuries, but was able to exit the machine and walk to a farmhouse for help. TSB reported that the Sunrise Helicopters Bell 206B Jet Ranger, C-GUIK, was finishing an application flight spraying fungicide near Angusville, MB. While maneuvering, the pilot was referring to the onboard GPS navigation system (Agnav) and the helicopter descended and contacted the crop and then struck the ground. The helicopter came to rest on its side with substantial damage. The pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries".
