Narrative:An Aquila trike with pilot and a passenger departed Wintervogel Airstrip, Malmesbury, Western Cape, on a local sight-seeing flight. The trike was returning to land to pick up another passenger when it crashed in a field near the hangars, caught fire and burnt out. There were two fatalities.
