Narrative:
Hawker Tempest II PR679, 26 Squadron RAF: Written off (damaged beyond repair) 7-10-46 when the aircraft overshot on landing at RAF Aston Down, Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire. The aircraft ran off the end of the runway, into soft ground, and the wheels 'dug in' causing the aircraft to overturn. The pilot - Flight Seargeant H Doyle, survived with injuries

Not repaired: Struck off charge 29-8-47 as Cat. E(FA) and sold for scrap
