Pilot identity unconfirmed; however, Pilot Officer (Pilot) Keith Gordon Chapman, RAF Service Number 57534, aged 20, was killed on this date. There were seven RAF fatalities on this date, but four of them were ground crew ranks. That leaves Squadron Leader R H Thomas and Flight Sergeant R L Grey (both killed in the crash of Avro Lancaster KB705). Which leaves P/O K G Chapman as the probable pilot fatality of Spitfire SL559 on 14 March 1946
