A Boeing 767-300ER, performing American Airlines flight AA251 from Dallas, Texas (DFW) to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG) damaged four tyres in an incident at Rio de Janeiro-Galeão Airport.
All four tyres of the right hand main landing gear burst during landing. Video footage show the airplane taxying towards the gate while shredding the tyres from the wheels. A post incident photo shows damage to the underside of the wing cause by tyre shrapnel.
