El 30 de abril de 1952 cerca de las 11:20 hora local, sufre una pérdida de potencia despegado desde la pista de la III Brigada Aérea, localidad de Reconquista, provincia de Santa Fé, el avión de ataque de Fabricación Nacional FMA IAe-24 Calquín registro A.-79 c/n 076, realizando un violento aterrizaje de emergencia con incendio parcial, falleciendo su piloto y sufriendo heridas sin gravedad su acompañante, Técnico civil Sr. Alfredo AGUSTINI. Piloto: Teniente John FARGUS LITTLE (Promoción XIII de EAM, egresado el 18 de diciembre de 1947, perteneciente al Grupo 2 de Ataque, II Brigada Aérea, Reconquista, Santa Fé. El avión contaba hasta entonces con 561hs de vuelo.
