El día viernes 20 de junio del año 1947 a las 10:00hs el avión Martin Modelo 139 registro B-521, número de serie 773 perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Argentina con cinco tripulantes a bordo tuvo un problema en los motores lo que motivo al piloto a realizar un terrizaje forzoso en carretera a 187 Km de la ciudad de Vera, Provincia de Santa Fé. Golpea el poste telefónico. El tren de aterrizaje colapsó. Un ala y una de las hélices gravemente dañadas. Todos sus tripulantes resultaron ilesos.
