El día 28 de mayo del año 1947 en horas de la tarde el avión de fabricación nacional I.Ae. 22 DL registro Ea 739, perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Argentina cuyo piloto es el Alférez Roberto Ávila, es destruido en un accidente antes del aterrizar en el aeródromo en la localidad de Monte Caseros, ubicada al sureste de la provincia de Corrientes, su piloto el resultó ileso.
