Narrative:El día 8 de junio del año 1947 el avión recién incorporado Boeing Stearman PT-17 Registro 1-E-35 perteneciente a la aviación naval argentina, cuyo piloto era el alumno aspirante a suboficial José Melchor Jesús Portela en un vuelo solo de instrucción en la Escuela de Aviación Naval Comandante Espora de Bahía Blanca, provincia de Buenos Aires, se precipitó a tierra a una altura de 50 metros muriendo en forma instantánea su piloto.
