El día domingo 27 de febrero del año 1949 un avión privado de modelo y matrícula sin identificar propiedad del Sr Antonio Pérez Prieto; era el piloto de la aeronave, estando acompañado de su hermano el Sr José Perez Prieto, cuando estaban despegando del campo de aviación del Aero Club de la localidad de Vedia, provincia de Buenos Aires en la Ex Ruta Nacional 7 a la altura del Km 312, el avión capoto luego de embestir un árbol. En el momento que personal del Aero Club concurrió a socorrer a los tripulantes se encontraron con el piloto fallecido y su acompañante con graves heridas.
