El día jueves 23 de mayo de 1946 en horario de la mañana el avión Curtiss Hawk H-75O C-603 c/n 12770 perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Argentina cuyo piloto era el Alférez Andrés Horacio Burlando. Promoción XI de EAM egresado el 7 de diciembre de 1945, perteneciente al Regimiento 2 Caza de El Palomar, provincia de Buenos Aires. Estaba en una misión de búsqueda de un similar, matrícula C-608, caído cerca de Sierra de la Ventana el día 23 de mayo, por causas no aclaradas por la superioridad aeronáutica el avión capoto y se incendió en la localidad de General Lamadrid en las cercanías de la Estación Lastra. Producto del accidente el piloto falleció en el accidente.
