Narrative:Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV R3826 (QY-Q) 254 Squadron, RAF: Written off (destroyed) when lost (Failed To Return) from combat operations over Norway. All three crew killed. Accoarding to the official Air Ministry File into the incident (File AIR 81/986): "Blenheim R3826 failed to return from an operational flight in the vicinity of Stavanger off the coast of Norway, 24 June 1940. Sergeant H G Hughes, Sergeant S Longstaff and Sergeant J F Borrows: missing presumed dead"
Airborne from RAF Sumburgh, Shetland Islands. Target: Sola Airfield, Stavanger, Norway. Blenheim R3826 reportedly successfully attacked and bombed the target. Shot down west of Stavanger by Ofw Jakob Arnoldy of 4./JG77 at 13.30 hours, and crashed into the sea. No survivors among the crew of three

As no trace of Blenheim R3826 or its crew of three was ever found, they are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
