El día viernes 19 de septiembre de 1958, el avión privado Piper J3C-65 registro LV-XJX, propiedad del Aeroclub Diamante, cuyo piloto era Carlos Streich,de 24 años de Aldea Protestante, que estaba realizando un vuelo de práctica para acumular horas de vuelo, se estrelló en La Ensenada, junto al arroyo Ensenada, cerca de Diamante, provincia de Entre Ríos
