A Boeign 767-346ER of Japan Airlines missly commenced takeoff from a taxiway at Singapore Changi Airport on the early morning of the 12th July 2015. JAL/JL38 from Singapore to Tokyo/Haneda departed a gate at Changi at 02:20 SST (18:20 UTC 11th July), and headed for the runway 20C. However, the first officer, who was the pilot flying, missly aligned the plane with a parelle taxiway (probably EP), and accelerated with the full thrust for a few seconds. Then the captain, pilot monitoring, realized misunderstanding, and ordered the first officer to stop the plane on that taxiway. The tower also warned the flight against the wrong align on the taxiway. JL38 correctly tookoff at 02:36 SST, and arrived at Haneda at 10:10 JST (01:10 UTC 12th July) without any further trouble. The pilots of the flight have not reported this incident to the company, however, it was disclosed by Singapore authority on 22nd July. This occasion was classified as a serious incident by JTSB on 31st July.
