Crashed into sagebrush fladlands of southwestern Idaho. Engine failures. 43rd Bomb Wing Commander Col. Herbert Shingler; Capt. James Hartley, Jr.; Cpt. Charles A. Walker; 1st Lt. Oscar Tucker, Jr. were all killed in the crash.
