Narrative:
Aeronca 7AC Champion D-EKEM: Written off (damaged beyond repair) 23.3.59 when crashed at Luhmühlen, Salzhausen, Germany. Salzhausen is a municipality in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 40 km southeast of Hamburg, and 15 km west of Lüneburg.

NOTE: Several published sources are confused over this incident, and state that it involved DH 82A Tiger Moth D-EKUN. The Tiger Moth did not crash on this date; it was damaged when overturned on take-off at Fassberg 2.11.58 and stored; registration D-EKUN cancelled 8.4.59. Thus, Tiger Moth D-EKUN was not even airworthy or flying on 23.3.59.
