Per the official AAIB report into the accident: "PILOT IN COMMAND - MISJUDGED ALTITUDE; MISREAD OR FAILED TO READ INSTRUMENTS; TERRAIN - SNOW-COVERED; LANDING LIGHTS GLARED ON SNOW. LEFT WING TIP HIT GROUND."
