Narrative:
Damaged 2-9-1991 when the engine failed (seized) on final approach to North Weald Airfield, near Harlow, Essex at the end of the aircraft's maiden flight. Damage confined to the landing gear, which was bent when the aircraft impacted the ground from an altitude of 2 feet agl during a precautionary landing.

What happened next is not certain: it may have been that the pilot/owner lost his enthusiasm for the project, as there are no records of G-BRLJ ever flying again. The aircraft was still in existence on 4-7-1993 (almost two years after the accident) in storage at Rendcomb, Gloucestershire (see link #3). However, the registration G-BRLJ was cancelled by the CAA on 23-10-1995, just over four years after its accident.
