El 6 de marzo del año 1939, en horario de la mañana, el avión Curtiss Hawk III registro 9. c/n 12093 perteneciente a la aviación del Ejército argentino con base en General Urquiza, Paraná, provincia de Entre Ríos, tripulado por el sargento Juan A. Capella que estaba realizando un vuelo de insttrucción, agotado el combustible debió aterrizar en un campo. Al final de la carrera sobre un alfalfar, chocó contra una construcción. Sufrió lesiones de consideración. El piloto resultó ileso.
