Narrative:
Aircraft crashed into the sea and sank. Pilot, David George Baxter, not found. Two crew members found by Shackleton aircraft from RAF St Eval at around 2200 hrs, Shackleton guided RMS Scottish Eagle to the scene where the survivors were picked up. One, Ivor Lawrence Beale was awarded the Stanhope Medal for Gallantry, but, sadly, died in another crash about a year later. Remaining crew member, Richard Shepherd, died in 2013.
