Narrative:
The aircraft rolled forward and collided with other two parked aircraft shortly after engine start up at Santa Fe. It appears that the owner of the aircraft, who was not a certificated pilot, decided to start the right engine without the pilot being on board. The pilot meanwhile had removed the nose undercarriage chock in preparation for departure and was unable to stop the aircraft from moving away.

The pilot tried pushing the aircraft in an attempt to stop it, but to no avail. The aircraft then rolled forward, and collided with two parked aircraft.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:
INADVERTENT DEACTIVATION OF AIRCRAFT BRAKES BY UNQUALIFIED PERSON.
