Following a loss of engine power shortly after takeoff, the aircraft, an experimental Buschmann/Vanzee built VariEze, force landed to residential terrain in southwest Ambler, east of Wings Field Airport (BBX/KLOM) located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. The airplane sustained substantial damage and the sole pilot onboard received serious injuries.
