Sabre 19115, of 410 Sqn, crash landed at the Dorval airport 20 Jun 1951 with F/O Ron Found at the controls hitting the ILS shack. No one was hurt. During the approach height and power adjustments were made and when emergency power was applied a compressor stall and fire resulted because the emergency power had been applied before the engine was developing 80% power. Aircraft landed wheels up 50 feet in front of the ILS shack and stopped 250 feet past it. Fire continued to burn after crash landing. During crash pilot was thrown forward with his hard hat (still a novelty at that time) took the brunt of the collision.
