Narrative:
First registered in Iraq in 1933 as YI-AAC (details lacking). Sold on and re-registered in the UK (C of R 4478) on 24.10.33 as G-ACLE to North Eastern Airways Ltd., Croydon Airport, Croydon, Surrey. C of A 4019 issued early 1934. Sold on 7.12.37 and re-registered (C of R 8258) to Allied Airways (Gandar Dower) Ltd., Dyce (Aberdeen) Airport, Aberdeen, Scotland. Sold on 13.5.39 and re-registered (C of R 8258/2) on 18.5.39 to Western Airways Ltd., London W.1 (aircraft based at Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset).

Registration G-ACLE cancelled 2.4.40 when impressed into military service as X9397. Written off (damaged beyond repair) 8.4.41 when hit by a refuelling tanker vehicle at RAF Odiham, Hampshire.
