Narrative:
de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk T.10 WB644, 18 RFS (Reserve Flying School): Delivered 31/05/1950. Written off 06/09/1950: The aircraft began a roll at low altitude, and, while inverted, lost height and flew into the ground at Fairoaks Airport, Chobham, Woking, Surrey, killing one of the two persons on board - the pilot, Flight Lieutenant Nigel Kenneth Howard, AFC, RAF, Service Number 19138, aged 47.
