Narrative:3 February 1948 - Taken on strength by RCAF. RAF serial VP686 assigned, never marked. With the Central Flying School at RCAF Station Trenton, Ontario. Flew lead in the first Vampire public display in Canada, a three plane formation fly by for the Governor General in Toronto on 29 May 1948. Pilot was Flight Lt "Irish" Ireland. Later to 438 Squadron, RCAF.
