The Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee force landed in a banana plantation following a loss of engine power during an application flight. The pilot was injured.
The aircraft engine malfunctioned in flight due to internal failures. During disassembly of the engine, a broken crankshaft counterweight pin was observed.
