The helicopter impacted the ground on the airfield while on a night approach to Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport (BRD) in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. The helicopter sustained substantial damage. The pilot and nurse were fatally injured. A third occupant survived with serious injures. Weather was reported to be foggy.
