The aircraft was shot down by a Bf 110 G-4 of Nachtjagdgeschwader 5, flown by either Hauptmann Werner Hoffmann, Kommandeur of the I. Gruppe, or by Hauptmann Walter Borchers, Kommandeur of the III. Gruppe.
