Narrative:A mid-air collision occurred 25 miles south of Moose Jaw between two CT-114 Tutor jets, which were part of the Canadian Forces Snowbird Air Demonstration team. The pilots were conducting a close-formation training excercise when the accident occurred. One pilot ejected and has been taken to hospital in serious condition. and later died of his injuries. His aircraft crashed into an open field and was consumed by a post-impact fire. The pilot of the second aircraft was able to continue flight and landed without further incident at CFB Moose Jaw.
