The aircraft, an experimentally Herman Pahls Built Denney Kitfox, impacted the waters of the Frye Lake in Shoshone National Forest, Wyoming.
The airplane was partially submerged, having sustained substantial damage, and one of the two occupants onboard was fatally injured. The pilot survived with serious injuries.
