The pilot of the Zlin Z-526 performed a flight after a long break in flying on the type. The pilot took off from LKMB and continued the flight directly to the village of Bukovno. After arriving over the village, he made a turn of about 180° and in a low flight, he continued to fly at low speed over the village. On the eastern edge of the village, he banked right and left (waving his wing). During this maneuver, there was a loss of speed and the plane crashed into the garden of a family house on the eastern edge of the village. The plane was completely destroyed after hitting the ground. The pilot died in the wreckage. One person on the ground suffered minor injuries.
Causes
The cause of the accident was a wrong decision, which led to the aircraft falling below the minimum altitude for VFR flights and unmanaged piloting of the maneuver, when flying low above the ground, over residential buildings, which resulted in loss of speed and subsequent crash of the aircraft.
