The light plane crashed under unknown circumstances. The four occupants survived the crash and were taken to a hospital by helicopter.

The plane had to make an emergency landing at the Scaramus rock, which triggered the beacon on board and alerted the Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) in Lyon, which is responsible for search and rescue missions for aircraft in distress.
