The Piper PA-46-310P Malibu JetPROP DLX, conversion #42, took off from Horseshoe Bay Airport (DZB) and was en-route to Natchitoches Regional Airport (IER), Louisiana. The pilot reported engine problems and apparently elected to divert to Hilltop Lakes Airport (0TE4). The aircraft crashed in a field short of the airport
