Narrative:Takeoff at 23:02 hrs for a bombing operation against the synthetic oil plant at Scholven-Buer.
The aircraft was intercepted by Hauptmann Ernst-Wilhelm Modrow & Unteroffizier Erich Schneider of the 1./NJG 1, who had taken off from Venlo airfield (the Netherlands) at 00:43 hrs in Heinkel He 219 A-0 G9+AH.
All eight crew members rest in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.
