Narrative:
A float-equipped DHC-2 Beaver aircraft operated by Wilderness Seaplanes, was being prepared to conduct a flight from Port Hardy Water Aerodrome (CAW5), BC to a local logging camp. The pilot went to the dock to prepare the aircraft for the flight and, approximately 15 minutes later, was found injured in the water. First aid was administered on site and first responders then transported the pilot to the hospital. The pilot succumbed to his injuries 2 days later.
