The helicopter reportedly crashed in a field after a wire strike. Post crash fire. Two on board killed. The reported crash location of Kfar Yehezkel (Hebrew: כְּפַר יְחֶזְקֵאל‎, lit. Yehezkel Village) is a moshav ovdim in northern Israel. Located in the Jezreel Valley, six kilometres southeast of Afula, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gilboa Regional Council. According to a rough translation from Hebrew in English of a contemporary news report (see link #1 for the original Hebrew text):

Two pilots from the center of the country in their 60s were killed today (Saturday) in a helicopter crash in the area of ​​Kfar Yehezkel. MDA teams were forced to determine their deaths on the spot. The Robinson R44 (or Robinson R44 Raven II) helicopter crashed in an open area north of Road 71, between Sulam and Kfar Yehezkel. Aviation Administration investigators arrived at the scene to collect the helicopter fragments to learn about the circumstances of the crash. The bodies will be sent for identification at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir.

Inspector Slava Bonchuk, an AJM officer in the Afula police, said at the scene of the crash: "Around 1:00 PM, a report was received at the Israel Police's Hotline 100 about hearing an explosion and fire in the fields near Kfar Yehezkel. Our crews went to the scene, we saw a helicopter on fire. Police used fire extinguishers in the vehicle and spotted two men lying near the helicopter.
