The aircraft was about to take off on runway 12 at Tambor Aerodrome (MRTR) with destination Tobías Bolaños Palma International Airport. According to the captain's statement, the aircraft performed its take-off check and while performing a Full Stop Take-Off, the left landing gear collapsed and fell under the left wing. The aircraft, as a result of the serious incident, suffered damage to the left main gear, to the left engine propeller blades, as well as dents in the left wing flap.
