Republic P-84B-16-RE Thunderjet, 45-59577, 51st FS, 14th FG, USAF: Written off (damaged beyond repair) March 22 1949 when crashed 2 miles East of Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine. Accident attributed to engine failure ("forced landing due to engine failure - engine flameout and would not re-light"). Pilot was Frank Maurice Lopes, USAF (February 21, 1919 - March 18, 2002).
