Narrative:
During the approach to runway 23 at Vanguardia Aerodrome (SKVV), approximately 4 NM away and at an altitude of 2,200 feet, the air ambulance Cessna TU206G experienced a power loss in its engine.
The pilot carried out the procedures to restore power; however, the attempts were unsuccessful, so he decided to perform an emergency landing in a field.
The forced landing was conducted in a controlled manner in an unprepared, muddy field. During the landing roll, the aircraft sustained substantial damage to the nose landing gear and cargo pod, with an abrupt engine shutdown.
Once stopped, the occupants exited the aircraft on their own. The pilot sustained minor injuries. Locals and the Vanguardia Aerodrome’s Emergency Response Team arrived at the site and assisted the occupants; no special rescue assistance was needed. There was no fire.

The investigation determined that the Serious Incident was caused by the forced landing in an unprepared field due to engine power loss.

Based on the available evidence, the investigation could not definitively determine the exact causes of the power loss, although the evidence generated highly probable hypotheses, indicating that the power loss resulted from deficiencies in the fuel system in the engine.

The probable cause of the deficiency was in the fuel pump and fuel distributor, whose installation process traceability left a high degree of uncertainty for the investigation.
