Narrative:
F-ALXE Latecoere Breguet 14T.2 Salon (MSN 118); The "Salon" was a modified version, with an enclosed aft cabin for two passengers, positioned in tandem behind the pilot. First registered 12.5.22 (C of R 579) to M Latecoere, Toulouse. Re-registered to Cie Generale Aeropostale, Paris (based Rio de Janeiro). Operated by Compagnie des Grands Express Aériens (CGEA) for cargo/mail flights in South America

Written off (damaged beyond repair) 5.2.25; aircraft was operating a cargo/mail flight (aircraft routed Rio de Janeiro - Salvador - Recife). Crashed on take off from Santo Amaro do Ipitanga Airport, Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. for unknown reasons. All three crew were unhurt while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. A photograph of the accident (see link #5) shows the aircraft, intact but upside-down, on a beach.
