Narrative:The pilot of the tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during the landing roll, a wind gust elevated the right wing and the airplane veered right and exited the runway. The left main landing gear collapsed during the runway excursion, and the left wing struck the ground resulting in substantial damage. The pilot reported no pre-impact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during landing roll.
