On 27 January 2023, a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-25, from the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade, was shot down near Shabelkivka, Kramatorsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast. The pilot, kapitan Danylo Murashko, was killed.
