The Grumman G-164 Ag-Cat was destroyed when it crashed at a soy plantation between Rincón and Vergara, Treinta y Tres.
The pilot onboard sustained fatal injuries.
CONCLUSIONS
Probable chain of events leading to the occurrence.
o Pilot and aircraft performed aerial application work for almost three hours prior to the accident.
o The aircraft was applying insecticide over a soybean field.
o The aircraft snagged the guard wire of a power line adjacent to the field, fell to the ground and caught fire.
