El 10 de junio de 1946 a las 09:15hs un avión caza Curtiss Hawk 75-0 matrícula C-642, c/n 12, perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Argentina cuyo piloto era el Alférez Adolfo Carlos Steenken. Promoción XI de EAM egresado el 7 de diciembre de 1945. Perteneciente al Regimiento Aéreo Número 2 de Caza. Mientras realizaba un vuelo de entrenamiento entre Morón y Hurlingham, provincia de Buenos Aires, el avión se estrella en un campo particular, consecuencia del impacto fallece su piloto.
