Narrative:
The wheel/ski-equipped aircraft descended out of cloud in a steep, nose-down, right-wing-low attitude, shortly after taking off from the ice strip at Welcome Bay on Wollaston Lake, Saskatchewan. The aircraft crashed on the ice, one mile north of the strip, killing all four occupants.
The Canadian Aviation Safety Board determined that aircraft control was lost for undetermined reasons.
