Narrative:
26 July 2021: DJI Mavic Pro 2 UAS significantly damaged when crashed from an altitude iof 10 metres (approximately 33 feet) at Belper, Amber Valley, Derbyshire. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record-only Investigation, published on 10 March 2022, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:

"After takeoff, with the UAS at approximately 12 metres agl (above ground level) one rotor arm, which had not been fully extended, partially folded which resulted in one propeller striking the fuselage and breaking. The UAS fell to the ground from a height of 10 metres".

Damage Sustained to UAS
Per the AAIB report "The UAS fell to the ground from a height of 10 metres". It is therefore presumed that the UAS sustainbed considerable impact damage due to falling to the ground from such an altitude.

Belper is a town and civil parish in the local government district of Amber Valley in Derbyshire, England, located about 7 miles (11 km) north of Derby on the River Derwent. Along with Belper, the parish includes the village of Milford and the hamlets of Bargate, Blackbrook, and Makeney.
