Narrative:
17 January 2022: DJI Mavic Mini UAV sustained substantial damage when control was lost and fell to the ground from an altitude of 65 metres (approximately 213 feet) when in flight over St Nicholas, Vale of Glamorgan, 2 miles West of Cardiff, South Glamorgan. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record-only Investigation, published on 10 March 2022, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:

"The UAV was [in flight] at approximately 65 metres (213 feet) agl (above ground level) when a motor error was generated. It lost control and subsequently struck the ground from a considerable height."
