Narrative:
1 February 2021: UAS Mavic 2 Dual Enterprise substantially damaged when crashed into a Bridge over the River Weaver, at Northwich, Cheshire**. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record-only Investigation, published on 1 December 2021, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:

"The UAS made an uncommanded response and collided with a bridge. The UAS fell to the ground".

Per the AAIB Report "the UAS Collided with a bridge" and presumably sustained substantial impact damage when it fell to the ground.

Northwich is a market and port town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It lies in the heart of the Cheshire Plain, at the confluence of the rivers Weaver and Dane. The town is about 18 miles (29 km) east of Chester, 15 miles (24 km) south of Warrington, and 19 miles (31 km) south of Manchester. The AAIB report mis-spells the location's name as "Northwitch" [sic]

**Two swing bridges, Hayhurst Bridge built in 1898, and Town Bridge built in 1899, cross the Weaver at Northwich. The bridges were the first two electrically powered swing bridges in Great Britain and were built on floating pontoons to counteract the mine subsidence. The UAS collided with one of these bridges - although the AAIB report does not state which one.
