Narrative:
2 February 2021: UAS DJI Phantom III Professional was substantially damaged when crashed due to structural failure of the airframe in flight near Ropley, Hampshire. The incident was the subject of an AAIB Record-only Investigation, published on 1 December 2021, and the following is the summary from the AAIB Report:

"Two minutes after takeoff, and without warning, the aircraft fell to the ground from a height of 25 metres. The operator reported that the accident had occurred because one of the propellers had detached in-flight".

Damage Sustained to UAS
Per the AAIB Report, the UAS "fell to the ground from a height of 25 metres". It is therefore presumed that the UAS sustained substantial impact damage from hitting the ground for such an altitude.

Ropley is a village and large civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 6.7 miles (10.8 km) southwest of Alton, just off the A31 road.
